eCommerce performance – July highlights and H1 review
According to the IMRG July performance review, July recorded negative growth, continuing a gradual decline seen since September 2024. Uninspiring summer weather likely played a role in shaping consumer demand.
Still, H1 2025 showed resilience, with January, February, April and June posting strong growth. While May dipped to around –2% YoY, June rebounded to +8.4% YoY in the week of the 15th.
The first half of 2025 has shown some clear trends in eCommerce that manufacturers and retailers need to watch:
AI is transforming the experience: Many retailers in H1 have made AI a core part of the checkout and post-purchase journey. This trend is expected to grow in H2.
