There’s no shortcut to the summit.
No secret trail that avoids the steep sections.
No clever trick that lets you skip the part that hurts your calves.
On every mountain I’ve climbed, the incline is where it gets real.
It’s where I slow down, breathe deeper, and wonder, sometimes out loud, why I thought this stupid idea was a good idea in the first place.
